A Eucharistic Congress is a gathering of people every four years which aims to promote an awareness of the central place of the Eucharist in the life and mission of the Catholic Church; to help improve our understanding and celebration of the liturgy and to draw attention to the social dimension of the Eucharist. Why support life? - 19 February
A round-table discussion on the future of the pro-life movement in Northern Ireland will take place in the Catholic Chaplaincy QUB. The panel, chaired by Brett Lockhart QC, features key figures in the pro-life movement including Dawn McAvoy, Dr Andrew Cupples, Patrick Gallagher, Kate Meenagh and Sarah Haire. If you are interested in learning more about the pro-life position from a variety of perspectives, this event is not to be missed.  28 Elmwood Avenue, Belfast on Wednesday 19 February at 7pm.

 

Armagh JPC Ad for World Social Justice Day Thursday 20 February 2020
World Social Justice Day occurs on Thursday 20 February. Armagh Justice and Peace Commission aims to promote social  justice in the Diocese and beyond and to reach out especially to those who feel marginalised in the Church. We do this by educating ourselves and others, initiating small projects and conferences, and communicating the dignity of all peoples and all creation. Lectio Divina for Newcomers – Lent 2020
Introducing the practice of Lectio Divina.  Reading, Recognising, Responding, Resting-in, and Reflecting on the Sunday Gospel.  The Lenten series commences on Ash Wednesday 26th February and will run consecutively for the 6 weeks of Lent.

Day of Prayer for Survivors and Victims of Abuse – 28 February
The annual Day of Prayer for Survivors and Victims of Abuse takes place on Friday 28 February.  Prayers will be offered at Masses on that day for those who have been hurt by abuse in the Church.  We are all asked to remember this intention in our private prayers also.

Dromantine Summer Camp
Dromantine Summer Camp is now in its 51st year.  The Camp runs during July and August. A week at Camp lasts from Sunday to Friday and offers a variety of activities in Faith, Sport and Entertainment, Guidance in life’s opportunities / challenges and input from FOA [Friends of Africa] Volunteers returning from their experience in Africa.
There are two weeks for BOYS : 26th – 31st of July and 2nd – 7th of August    and two weeks for  GIRLS:  : 9th – 14th of August and 16th – 21st of August , 2020.
