Archbishop Eamon Martin welcomes Pope Francis` two new Rosary prayers to Our Lady for protection against COVID-19

28 Apr 2020

During his Sunday devotions with the Rosary and Benediction at 5.00pm in Saint Patrick`s Cathedral, Armagh, Archbishop Eamon Martin welcomed Pope Francis` new pastoral letter to the faithful, and two new Rosary prayers, in honour of Our Lady for the month of May.

It is a Catholic tradition to honour the Blessed Virgin Mary during May, with Churches and homes erecting a May Altar with a statue of Mary, flowers, a candle and a picture of Mary.  During Sunday`s liturgy in Armagh, which was livestreamed on www.armaghparish.net, Archbishop Eamon prayed the two new Rosary prayers to the Blessed Virgin Mary for protection against the COVID-19 pandemic.
